The West Lincoln High School Rebel Regiment is the most visible ensemble of the West Lincoln Band Program. Any student (grades 8-12) can find a way to be a part of the Rebel Regiment. There is a fee to join. Sign ups take place in mid-March and the ensemble meets from mid-May to November each year. Band camp begins at the end of July and afternoon rehearsals (Tuesday/Thursday) begin immediately after through November.
You can find the Rebel Regiment cheering on their fellow Rebels every football Friday night in the Fall. They also participate in many parades throughout Lincoln county.
Awards
Every season, the Rebel Regiment competes in many marching band competitions across North Carolina. They have gained recognition of their standard of excellence in music performance and general effect.
Making history
In their 2025 season, the Rebel Regiment made West Lincoln High School history by competing in the national Bands of America championship in White, GA. the Rebel Regiment came in second in their class.
While in Georgia, they also took in the sights and fun Atlanta had to offer, including Six Flags Over Georgia and the Georgia Aquarium.
